For Sale 1983 Ur-quattro

A rare opportunity to buy a piece of automotive history.

Audi Ur-Quattro.  The sensation of the 1980 Geneva Motor Show.  The first high-performance car with permanent all-wheel drive and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.1 seconds. With road-holding untouchable at the time and rarely equalled since.

What does "ur" mean?  In German it means "original".  Original Quattro

In the intervening years it has become a much-loved classic. It rewrote the rally rule book - today, four-wheel drive and turbocharging is standard in World Rally Championship cars.  This was the beginning of the spectacular Group B cars.  The “Godfather” of the modern day Subaru STI and Mitsubishi EVO.

Not particularly fast by modern standards (0-60 in just over 7 seconds) but extremely usable torque band once rolling makes this a fantastic companion. Flat cornering, great stability and body control. Wonderful image - really appeals to those who know what it is (a large number owing to its rally heritage).

Presenting a 1983 Audi Ur-Quattro in Zermatt Silver with rare and desirable beige leather interior.  One of only 240 imported in 1983.  Total production worldwide of just over 11,000 over 11 years makes this a very rare and collectable vehicle.  The historical significance makes it a true classic.

This survivor has traveled only 86,000 miles from new.  It is a US model originally sold in Texas.
Previous owners have taken an extremely good care of the car as evident by the excellent condition and extensive maintenance records backed by invoices.

This car has original paint in excellent condition.  Mechanically it is completely stock with zero modifications or improvements.  Nor should any be needed.

The car looks and drives like new with minimal wear and tear.  It could be used as a show car or by a dealership as part of historical display for special occasions (launch of new model etc.).

Everything in this car works, original radio, accompanied by the original speakers and Fuba antenna, even the A/C still blows cold air!!

Spare wheel has never been used and the jack is still in its original place.
Owners manual along with Maintenance booklet are available.  Original floor mats are in great shape and if desired an extra set of NOS floor mats can be available.  You have to see it and drive it to believe it.  This is what an Ur-quattro feels like in its prime.

Recent purchase of a house forces reluctant, but not desperate sale.
Pictures speak for themselves.
